Southeast Asian Linguistics Studies In Honor of Vichin Panupong

Vichin Panupong, a distinguished pioneer in linguistics in Thailand, is honored in this volume by original studies contributed by thirty-three scholars from seven countries.  They comprise colleagues, former students, and admirers of Professor Vichin.  Papers focus on historical linguistics, syntax, and experimental phonetics, although studies on sociolinguistics, semantics, phonology, typology, and writing systems are also included. More than passing attention is given to thirteen languages.
