About the Southeast Asian Linguistics Archives

The Southeast Asian Linguistics Archives (SALA) collects, scans, indexes, disseminates, and analyzes the relationships between scholarly publications on Southeast Asian language and linguistics.

SALA project homepage       Download the brochure (PDF)

Please note that all SALA materials remain the copyrighted property of their respective owners, whether or not individual copyright notices are posted.
A maximum of 4 pages will be returned for articles that do not have copyright clearances.
SALA devises and tests new ways to aggregate and expose the field's scattered literature:  the festschrifts, conference proceedings, working papers, special collections, and regular and itinerant journals that have been published world-wide for the past century or more.  Special features include:

    - free, immediate full-text access to many articles,
    - extensive citation analysis of the field's central literature,
    - an extremely large bibliography of SEA linguistics.

For help, click on any icon (or just let the mouse hover over a control or bold label.  Another useful feature is the "find author name" text entry:

find author name
As you'll see if you begin to type a name (on the right), it provides predictive completion for author names, and is very helpful for narrowing searches.

Please note that the SALA is unfunded preliminary work. Although it has a great deal of functionality, the underlying bibliographic and statistical databases are most definitely still under construction, and your milage will vary.
